13 Jul. 2018 Riverfest Talent Show & Fireworks Jul. 13, 2018 7:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. 7:30 - 9:30pm: 19th Annual Talent Show held at the Monticello High School Auditorium. Admission is $4 for everyone. Featuring instrumental, vocal, dance, comedy, piano, and drama performed by individuals, groups, senior citizens, adults, and students. “Magic in the Air” Fireworks!! At Dusk – Following the Talent Show Riverfest Fireworks will be shot off between Eastview School and Monticello High School on the North side. Parking is available at the High School and Eastview. Spectators can sit south of the softball fields. Please bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, etc. No spectators can be allowed in the football, track, or construction areas. These areas will be marked accordingly. Thank you for your cooperation.
14 Jul. 2018 Riverfest 5k, Art in the Park & Street Dance Jul. 14, 2018 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. Saturday Shuttle Bus: 7:30am – 4:00pm FREE Park & Ride shuttle service will be available on Saturday and will make stops at: 1. City parking lot at corner of 3rd & Walnut 2. DMV Office (Help Center) at 3rd and Cedar St 3. Middle School parking lot 4. Ellison Park at east end near log shelter building 5. East Bridge Park parking lot across from Walgreens Riverfest 5K Run/Walk: 8:30 am Certified course starts and finishes at West Bridge Park at the intersection of River Street and Highway 25 near downtown Monticello. It is a flat, fast, out and back course. Refreshments provided after the race. 5K Registration Register Online. Kids Fun Runs: 9:20 am Art in the Park and Taste of Monticello: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Fine Arts & Crafts Show with over 65 displays and “Taste of Monticello” food and beverage vendors. Held outdoors at Ellison Park along the banks of the Mississippi River. Organized by the Monticello Chamber of Commerce 6th Annual Bean Bag Tournament: 10:00am – 3:30pm Located at Ellison Park, 811 East River Street, Monticello. Street Dance featuring “The F abulous Armadillos” Evening activities take place in the Monticello Community Center parking lot starting at 5 pm. Beer Garden will be on site. Concession Stand with food and beverages available. No outside food or beverages allowed. Perfect time to adopt a duck for the Duck Race on Sunday! 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm: Enjoy music by Terry DuBois. Visit with friends and family… Buy some hotdogs and have a picnic dinner… 9:00 pm – 11:30 pm: Join the fun at the Street Dance! The Fabulous Armadillos are one of Central Minnesota’s top live bands. They recreate songs from many genres of music from Country to Motown to Heavy Metal to 70’s Soft Rock and they play them just like you remember. We are excited to welcome them back for their 3rd appearance at Monticello Riverfest!
15 Jul. 2018 Riverfest Parade Jul. 15, 2018 12:00 p.m. The parade starts on 3rd Street at the Monticello American Legion Club and heads East to Walnut Street. Then it will take a right on Walnut Street and head South until 6th Street. The Parade takes a right on 6th Street and heads West to Minnesota Street; there it turns South and ends on West 7th Street. NOTE: Parade units will end at 7th Street West, near the area where they started.
